Hi Dene:

Just going over some of your blogs and came upon the one which was the 1st Chapter of your life - the part where your mom left you at the church.

I don't remember when this was, Dene, and so I don't know what to say. I am so sorry; I knew your mom had some "problems" but I never dreamed she would do this. She loved you soooooooo much but she was just so messed up most of the time. I am sure she felt she was doing what she felt was right; to get you away from seeing her disintegrate before your eyes. Wish I had been there for you, because you were always "my other daughter". I only remember good times with your mom, honestly.
She and her "man" came to Claremore and knocked on my door - completely out of the blue one day. My son, Jason, was only a few months old. With the suicide of my own mother the year before, I must admit my mind wasn't in the best place for company. You are a wonderful person and I am so proud to have known you - I have some of the cutest pictures of you and Debi - your mom and I would make cookies and kool-aid and the 4 of us would have a great time usually at your house across the street from ours. I miss your mom and the memories I have of her are 99% good ones. Write me whenever you like - and did you finish the book??? I would like to buy a copy if you did/do. Hugs to you. Love you, Beth Srader Chappell

This is really too funny, because I can remember being a teenager and going to the nursing home with my mother to visit my great-grandmother, who had an interesting roomie. Her elderly roommate would spend all her time shaving her face with her little magnified mirror and my mother would primly say, "See, that's what happens when you start shaving your face -- you can't ever stop because it grows back even thicker!" Yikes, it scared me so I've never done it, though I've certainly passed 40 about half a decade ago, ha. Hmmm, maybe I should reconsider??

That's too funny - I'm a neat freak too, though not as much as I used to be -- like you, cats and other critters (like tween aged kids) have overtaken my world. My daughter laughed at the cereal bowl incident -- she knows just how your kids feel! Although, you wouldn't BELIEVE the things I find in HER pockets!!!

Made me laugh....as usual. In the contest of leaving things in their pockets, my husband is, by far, the worst. It's usually ink pens that explode, or receipts. Last week it was 15 bullets from his .22. Kinda scary. My kids don't hold a candle to him.

Hey Dene',
These videos were so Funny but SO TRUE TO LIFE. They gave me a good laugh this morning....especially since I was on a trip with my husband to Colorado (part business) and he COMPLETELY forgot about Valentines Day. Could NOT believe it. Yes, I gave him a cute card too......lol.
Enjoy reading your thoughts.....not sure what to think about your last entry about the van accident since I dont know the story there....but sounds like it is haunting you. Time to open up...talk and let it go....
